Recruitment Software - Candidate / Client Management & Payroll Software Solutions. ASP/ Web based & Client Server Based Solutions.
1. ASP / Web based solutions are those which are held on the software companies server and can be accessed from any internet connection using a user name and password. The advantage of ASP Recruitment Software is that your data is always backed up and accessable from anywhere. You have no worries about your own pc / hardware and loosing data etc. Some systems offer safer protection against data copying/theft as you can restrict / monitor the access of the system. Another advantage of this Recruitment Software is that there is no need for a server or any massive networking systems for your staff oftern resulting in lower cost.
A disadvantage is that as your data is held on a different server you may need to keep backup of your data incase anything happens to your recruitment software provider.
2. Client Server based Recruitment Software is a system which is stored on your own PC / in house server. The main advatage of this is the security that you have a physical copy of all your data, therefore if anything happens to your software provider you can rest easy knowing that you have backup of all your data which can usually be transferred to anyother supplier.
Disadvantages of Client Server based Recruitment Software include the sometimes difficult networking setup within your office and also the cost of doing so. You will need to be comfortable working with IT or outsource to an IT support company which again results in additional costs.
